About the Role
Ainscough Crane Hire in East London has an opportunity to join their team as a Trainee Crane Operator. You will start as a Slinger Signaller and complete training shortly after your start date, progressing to a Trainee Operator.

Key Responsibilities
- Work to manufacturer’s instructions at all times.
- Adhere to road traffic regulations.
- Ensure PPE is worn at all appropriate times.
- Be conversant with the correct use of outriggers, ensuring they are used on level ground.
- Set and check the functioning of the rated capacity limiter and rated capacity indicator.
- Perform manual handling correctly, including Outrigger Pans.
- Liaise with Site Manager/Project Manager upon arrival on site.
- Resist pressures to carry out unsafe operations.
- Assimilate and apply information from reports and duty charts regarding crane duties and safety.
- Be aware of wind and climatic effects on the crane and load.
- Take action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations when necessary.
- Access and depart the crane safely using ladders and grab rails.
- Complete training on specific crane models, rigging, and maintenance procedures.
- Continuously seek to improve operational efficiency within the business.
Person Specification
Education/Knowledge/Experience
- Full Drivers Licence
- HGV Class C Licence
- Previous experience operating large plant, HIAB, or similar equipment
- Strong knowledge of road traffic regulations
Skills/Abilities
- Provide friendly and helpful service to ACH customers.
*Training Agreement must be signed before training is arranged.
