Key Responsibilities
- Management and control of all engineering and fabrication at Core Support Services Workshops, including activities at both Vanderbijlpark and Newcastle Works.
- Management of SHERQ and Legislation for the areas.
- 2.7A responsibilities and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Develop, implement, and execute a maintenance strategy for workshop equipment.
- Management of capital and other projects.
- Accountable for compiling and executing the Value Plan for the CSS Workshop section.
- Compilation and execution of Workshops turn-around plan.
- Accountable for workshops costs and financial results.
- Operational management of all allocated sections.
- Order scheduling, planning, and On Time Delivery of jobs.
- People management, including development and training of employees.
Qualifications
- B-Eng. Degree (NQF 8/10)
- Preferably a Structured Junior Management Development Program
Experience and Requirements
- Minimum 6 years experience.
- Management experience in production and/or maintenance environment (Financial systems, Industrial Relations, Union Management, etc).
- Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 14001:2004, ISO9001:2008 codes.
- Eligible to be appointed in GMR 2.7a role.
- Thorough knowledge of AMSA operations.
- Relevant experience in Machining and Fabrication Workshop operations will be an advantage.
