By joining our team of Veterinary Claims Officers, you will be working with likeminded humans who have a love of pets and making a difference. PetSure is passionate about supporting pets and their parents. Our office is pet friendly and you can bring your pets into the office when you are in or you can adopt a colleague’s pet for the day!
We care about your wellbeing and you will work a 45-hour week, and once you are trained up, you will be asked to do some Saturdays and possibly Sundays (but relax, weekend shifts are rotated through the team and to make up for the weekend days you worked you will get a rostered day off that week!).
What you’ll do
- Use your veterinary skills and knowledge to make informed claims decisions
- Utilise your passion for animals to ensure a smooth process and positive claims experience for our customers, their pets and vets
- Manage complex claims through to completion
- Support the continuous improvement of Customer Experience by understanding and ensuring our existing and new customers’ expectations are met or exceeded
- Ability to interpret medical records and apply clinical knowledge to scenarios in a commercial setting
- Ability to explain medical concepts in layman terms to internal and external stakeholders verbally and in writing
- Assess and manage GapOnly claims until completion
- Assist with claims assessing and auditing of high value claims when required
- Utilise your technical knowledge to provide advice to other areas of the business
What you’ll bring
- Qualifications in Veterinary Science
- Pet parent or pet advocate
- Passionate about PetSure’s mission to remove the worries that come with being a pet owner
- Clinical experience in veterinary field or other relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding performance expectations
- Proven experience at developing and maintaining relationships with colleagues and customers
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills
