Process Engineer will be responsible to ensure the technical coordination / support / production processes in the Lab are in line with the group standards and optimized in order to reach:
- the industrial performance targets
- the product performance specifications
- equipment performance
Will report to the Production Manager.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
Setup / verify if PCPs are respected and if controls are executed according to SOPs (machine calibration and processes / PCP):
o Audit PCPs and SOPs
Put in place tools to monitor processes, measure capabilities (PCP - process control plans) with a focus on calibration Track / analyse and interpret results (participate to indicators and targets with production and quality, follow daily indicators). Ensure all current processes are in line with International standards and adapt where necessary
Maintain and update all processes in the department, ensuring that all works instructions are updated as conditions in the department change.
Spend time on the floor to ensure processes are followed and jobs are delivered on time thus ensuring that the companys on time and quality KPIs are reached by managing effective processes and product flows
Train staff & monitor the efficiency of calibrations (Create documents that include process outlines and training manuals, as well as documentation detailing process improvements).
Prepare training support for processes and calibration with Master trainer / LOFT, and train operators, Maintenance.
Solve technical issues (yield, product performance problems) after 1st level troubleshooting guidelines fails
Generate and lead improvement activities. Organise / improve / structure problem-solving guidelines.
Continuous improvement of the workshop and efficiency, while optimizing consumption of consumables and process time, to permanently improve the manufacturing costs in collaboration with Techno clubs.
Participate in the HMC Techno club networks and link with Amera / EMEA Production Excellence team for PCP updates
Lead local technical project: New equipment validation & commissioning before handing over to production
Responsible for the technical pilots / industrial projects in the lab (with Amera / EMEA technical support & GE)
Organize in coordination with NPI the production and analysis of end-to- end tests in the context of preparation of new offers / product launches (execute product performance validation plan and analyse results to ensure product quality, efficiency and improvement)
Introduce new processes from the beginning and assure in lining within permanent process control of defined results, documentation - KPI monitoring, within expected performances
Perform Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Annual services of equipment in Coating and Tinting area as per the maintenance schedule
Profile required:
Engineering qualification 1-2 years, work experience within production, engineering or R&D ideally in Rx manufacturing with the accountability of and responsibility for processes, equipment and product quality would be advantageous.
