Role: Estimator
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum + benefits package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor based in Leeds. This role offers a chance to contribute to the organisation's success by preparing competitive tenders to secure future projects.
Key Responsibilities
·Deliver timely and accurate estimating activities for projects up to £10 million, following operational procedures.
·Analyse tender opportunities, presenting cost, resource, and productivity data to ensure competitiveness.
·Contribute to workload reviews, maximising tender opportunities.
·Participate in client feedback reviews to refine and improve tender submissions.
·Prepare and present accurate management information relating to estimating activity.
·Develop competitive tender submissions using effective data and presentation methods.
·Foster strong working relationships with colleagues, line managers, and clients, ensuring clear and timely communication.
·Comply with health and safety, equality, diversity, and confidentiality requirements.
·Actively engage in performance reviews and personal development opportunities.
·Undertake additional duties as requested by the line manager.
Person Specification
Essential:
·Minimum of 5 years' experience in Civil Engineering estimating.
·Background in site operations (Engineering/Management).
·Proficiency in Conquest estimating software.
·Experience with MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
·Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
·Familiarity with NEC contracts.
·Knowledge of commercial, contractual, and procurement processes.
·HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
·Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
·Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
·Experience contributing to the success of a team with strong interpersonal skills.
