Lead a multi-disciplined end-user facing team of infrastructure and systems engineers, creating and implementing plans to ensure a high-quality, continually improving, and continually changing estate, while maintaining adherence to relevant industry standards, security protocols and council policies.
This is a senior technical management role with sole responsibility for managing all aspects of the server infrastructure and systems integration across multiple platforms, SaaS, traditional external hosting, ‘on-premises’, Azure etc.
The role will determine the technology and people resources required to adapt the team in line with the ever-changing requirements of new technology adoption.
Success in the role is essential in ensuring the council can access its IT systems and so function effectively as an organisation and is able to deliver services to its residents
• The successful candidate will lead the team and participate directly in delivery.,
• Represent the team as required internally and externally in relation to projects, programmes and BAU activities
• Participate in Digital services’ extended leadership team.
• Support the team in managing service requests and incidents received via Service Desk (Manage resource conflicts as required).,
Ideally the candidate will have expertise in Microsoft M365 / Azure / Intune, Defender for Endpoint., • Key areas of work for the team are M365, Azure, Intune, Active Directory
