We’re supporting our client, a leading global injection moulding company based in Mansfield, who are looking for a Process Setter to join their growing team. The successful Process Setter will have at least 10 years of injection mould setting experience and be able to work with complex multi cavity hot runner systems.
Position Overview: As a Process Setter, you'll be responsible for all tool changes and colour changes as and when required, and to set up machines to run new products within a specific timeframe.
Responsibilities for Process Setter:

Monitor machines and check they are running at optimum conditions and running within a specified cycle time.

Communicate with quality personnel to ensure good quality standards at all times.

Daily in press mould cleaning and general mould maintenance.

Communicate with tool room to ensure good tooling conditions and report any tooling issues.

Conduct detailed daily handovers between shifts.

Accountable for setting up injection moulding machinery to first off standard, ensuring use of set process.

Sizes of machines 60t – 600t.

Monitor injection moulding process to include condition setting predominantly on machines, ensuring product quality and reliability.

Ensure all mould tooling is maintained to a high standard, liaising with tooling department when faults are identified to ensure rectification ensuring schedules are adhered to.

Ensure the quality department are made aware of any injection moulding issues and all non-conforming plastic products are quarantined.

Ensure all H&S regulations and guidelines are adhered to, any non-conformances report to relevant personnel.

Adhere to the companies ISO standards.
About You:
-
At least 10 years of injection mould setting experience.

Knowledge of Ferromatik moulding machines would be an advantage.

Twin shot mould knowledge.

Stack mould knowledge.

Be able to work with complex multi cavity hot runner systems.

Knowledge of valve gate systems.

Proactive, and versatile individual who demonstrates leadership skills with an ability to work closely with and motivate other team members.

Reliable and flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual possessing willingness to initiate and champion change within an operation promoting continuous improvement.

Good communication and leadership skills.

Good people skills and attention to detail.
