An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Principal Fire Safety Engineer to join a leading fire engineering consultancy in London. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver high-quality fire safety strategies for buildings and infrastructure projects.

Conduct technical analyses, including CFD and evacuation modelling, using tools like FDS, PyroSim, and Pathfinder.

Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met.

Provide advisory support, including site visits during construction stages and external wall system assessments.

Mentor and guide graduate fire engineers while driving technical excellence within the team.

Stay up to date with fire safety legislation and standards, including Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991, and BS 7974.

Support business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing fee proposals, and building strong client relationships.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures and contribute to the company’s reputation through conferences and training sessions.
What We’re Looking For:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, structural, civil, or related field).

A postgraduate fire engineering qualification (certificate, diploma, or master’s degree).

Full membership with the IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers) and working towards or already holding chartership.

6+ years of experience in fire safety engineering with a strong passion for the discipline.

Proficiency with fire engineering tools and excellent knowledge of industry standards.

A confident communicator with strong customer service skills and the ability to manage and mentor others.
