M&E Contract Manager
Location: Central London Portfolio
Working Hours 8:00am-5:00pm (Monday to Friday). However, flexibility is required in order to complete the duties associated with the role.

We are currently sourcing a M&E Contract Manager from a building services background who has previously managed a portfolio of commercial maintenance contracts for one of London’s most highly respected building services companies.
The role involves will be best suited to candidates with prior experience managing mobile or multi-site portfolios.
It is a fast-paced position requiring exceptional time management, prioritisation, and leadership skills.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Business Unit Account Manager you will be working within the engineering services team on various contracts.
You will interact with your teams and manage operations via your engineers and supervisors with their site activities including training of team members, appraisals and covering sites if required.
As the Contract Manager you will lead the teams, and you will have a very good track record and will be capable of running the operation whilst on duty.
At times, this will be a hands-on role and therefore must have hands on experience when required.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Business Operations
Establishment and day to day management of PPM systems.
Overall management of permanent, temporary and subcontractors
Management of procurement and project work.
Management and control of budgets including revenue and capital expenditure.
Management and control of maintenance operations across the site for which you are responsible.
Report on service management in association with contract terms and conditions.
Ensure all technical elements of the contract meets client requirements.
Cross Business Responsibilities
To develop a good working relationship with all members of staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.
Staff Management
Oversee the daily organisation off staff and their workload, offering advice and general information
You will be the first point of contact for escalations (customer/staff)
Complete annual appraisals
Monitor the teams daily and weekly performance
Finance
Ensure team expenses are processed in accordance with the Expense policy
P&L of contract
Risk Management
Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation
Fire Safety: Ensure staff awareness of Fire Safety procedure
Ensure ISO processes are followed to ensure departmental/business compliance
Undertake monthly training courses as allocated on the training portal and ensure your teams carry this out
Strategic Management
Responsible for the development and delivery of business improvements, in line with company strategy
KPI’s (Departmental and Management)
Oversee the KPI’s and escalate concerns
Review KPI’s
Offer recommendations for improving KPI figures

Sound Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
Qualifications and education

Electrical Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry OR NVQ Level 2-3 (Mechanical Discipline e.g., Heating and Ventilating 6018)

L8 Training for Domestic

Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Endorsement

Degree in Building Services Engineering (High level of electrical content)

Membership to the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) or equivalent

Relevant Business/Management Training

HV/AP certification
