Project Engineer
Our client is a leading provider of control systems used in the power generation sector. They are looking to hire a Project Engineer to join their business. The role is based from their site in Belvedere, but will also involve nationwide site based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Quoting for works External & Internal.
- Producing Cable Schedules & I/O Schedules.
- Producing Cable Termination sheets
- Risk and Method Statement production/ Booking site operatives for inductions.
- Design bespoke control panels.
- Electrical installation on site - Fuel Systems, Generator and Generator Controllers,
electrical containment works.
- Installation of new cabling on site where required including terminations & connections.
- Electrical testing of circuits & site team witnessing.
- Generator Load bank testing FAT & SAT.
- PLC control system FAT and SAT.
- Wiring modifications on fuel and plc systems.
- Switchboard modifications and wiring alterations.
- Testing and commissioning generators and controllers/fuel systems.
- Witnessing all relevant installations/works with site commissioning teams, including sign
offs and client training.
- Arranging subcontractors to undertake and assist with additional works.
- Placing orders and approving invoices to subcontractors.
- Training apprentices in electrical installation and generator works where possible.
- Aiding Solutions and Mechanical on all aspects of controls works. Supervising works.
Experience Required
- Project Manager/ Engineer
- Controls Systems Engineer
- Experience in Allen Bradley (Mandatory), FactoryTalk view SCADA, Control Panel design,
Testing & Commissioning, HMI, Design, Ethernet networks, Modbus, Switchgear Control
Systems.
- Electrical/ Automation
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Liaising with Clients & customers face to face, via email & teams.
