Building Service Engineer
Salary: £46,349.87
Shift Pattern Breakdown: Dupont shift pattern covering days and nights- continental
Shift Pattern Hours- Average 38.6 hours per week
Training: Either fully qualified Electrician or fully qualified Mechanical engineer
Role Start Date: February 2025
Our client is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, currently running an iconic flagship site in East London. Their large maintenance team are currently looking to source both mechanical and electrical building services engineers to work on a Dupont shift rota across this contract
The Building Services Engineer will complete PPMs throughout the contract and support the other engineers with tasks and jobs from the client.
Job Description
As a Building Services Engineer, you will be expected to support the maintenance operation in place on the site. This support is coordinated through the Technical Services Team Leader, who will guide and direct the daily duties of work.
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Building Services Engineer to join our on-site maintenance team. In this role, you will provide a range of general building maintenance services, including mechanical, electrical, and fabric work, ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.
Flexibility to work night shifts when required and to participate in the on-call response team is essential to meet the dynamic needs of the operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile professional to play a key role in maintaining a high-functioning, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support the achievement of a ‘Best in Class’ approach to Engineering and Fabric services including those provided through supplier organisations.

Carry out Planned Maintenance as instructed by the MTL/FM.

Become competent in the operation of the sites Building Management and Planned maintenance computer systems.

Carry out reactive maintenance as instructed by Site Management.

Assist in resolving maintenance issues raised by retailers.

Assist the other maintenance staff as is required.

Assist with any training that may be required by other staff.

Liaise with Contractors, giving assistance as is agreed by the FM/SFM.

Oversee the working of Contractors as is required by the FM/SFM.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Desired Qualifications:

NVQ level 2 and higher in an M&E qualification

City & Guilds 2230 Level 3 OR NVQ 2356 / 2357 OR City and Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation OR AM1 and AM2

City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS:7671:2008)

City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Inspection & Testing (2394/5)

JIB Accredited.
Desired Experience:

Previous experience of building maintenance within a Service Industry

Previous experience of working in a busy demand led environment

Previous experience of working with the Concept CAFM System
