Water Treatment Engineer
A prestigious building services provider are looking for a Water Treatment Engineer to join their team permanently. This role is based at a largecommercial office building in the City of London, offering an excellent environment for career growth and stability.
Role Overview:
As the Water Treatment Engineer, you will take full ownership of all water treatment systems on-site. This will include the operation, maintenance, and compliance of water systems, with a particular focus on cooling towers. You will ensure that the building's water systems are managed effectively, safely, and in line with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day management of water treatment systems, including cooling towers and closed systems

Conduct regular water sampling, testing, and monitoring to ensure compliance with water hygiene and Legionella regulations.

Implement and manage effective water treatment programs to prevent scaling, corrosion, and bacterial growth

Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and descaling of cooling towers.

Monitor and maintain chemical dosing systems to ensure optimal water quality.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to cooling tower operation and efficiency.

Ensure the site complies with all relevant legislation, including ACOP L8 and HSG274.

Maintain accurate records of water testing, monitoring, and maintenance activities.

Provide detailed reports and updates to the site management team..

Relevant water treatment qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQs, or equivalent).

Understanding of ACOP L8, HSG274, and other water hygiene legislation.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot water treatment issues.

Excellent record-keeping and reporting abilities.

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
