Deputy Children’s Home Manager

£29,120 + £50 per sleep-in
I am looking for a Deputy Children’s Home Manager to support children and young people in a fantastic residential home for children and young people in Leicestershire.
In this Deputy Managers role you will:

Be responsible for providing day to day care for children and young people

Work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring that care teams are maintaining their therapeutic approach and providing direct work with the children

Lead shifts and manage a staff team

Assist in leading staff to operate within legal parameters
-
Ensure the home is kept to a good standard, including cooking and cleaning and of course safeguarding welfare at all times

Support the business, clinical and social development of the service
To be successful in the role you must have:
-
NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)

4 years’ experience in residential care

Experience of working with young people who have challenging behaviours

Experience of leading shifts and being designated in charge in absence of Manager

Experience of supervising care staff

The ability to work to a rota, including days, sleep-ins, weekends and statutory holidays

A full UK Manual driving licence essential.
