The Role
iOCO Infrastructure Services invites you to explore possibilities. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Technical Consultant with network and systems expertise in information technology networks and network security to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical knowledge of FortiGate firewalls, Fortinet security appliances, and switching, routing, and related technologies (e.g., CISCO and Aruba) as well as experience with wireless technologies.
Skills and Experience
What you’ll do:
- Provide excellent customer satisfaction, interaction, and engagement
- Engage at management and executive levels
- Understand TCP/IP and networking protocols
- Configure and troubleshoot OSPF, QoS, and Multicast; understand BGP
- Manage Layer 2 networking, including STP, VLANs, port channel/Ether channel technology
- Handle Layer 3 networking, including dynamic routing protocols and HSRP/VRRP/GLBP/SVI
- Utilize Fortinet SD-WAN
- Employ various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, IPAM, RADIUS
- Perform network packet capture and analysis (Wireshark)
- Utilize development/automation/scripting knowledge (Python)
- Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary
- Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization, including automation
- Apply strong knowledge of Incident and Problem management processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues including fault management
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to new methods and processes
- Mentor colleagues and peers in networking and other areas
Your Expertise:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology Networks and/or network security
- Advanced technical knowledge in switching, routing, and related technologies
- Advanced technical knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security appliances
- Solid experience in technology support functions and tools such as change/configuration management, testing, documentation, and implementation processes
- Advanced technical support and troubleshooting skills
- Maintenance of complex network and network security systems
- Advanced technical knowledge in managing internal and external DNS services
- Experience in SSL certificate management
- Evaluation and optimization of network performance
- Automation of network functions and duties
Qualifications Required:
- Fortinet NSE6 and NSE7 certifications will be an advantage
- Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP)
- CCNP Enterprise certification will be an advantage
- Microsoft Azure Administrator certification will be an advantage
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect: Associate certification will be an advantage

Other Information Applicable to the Opportunity:
- Must work in a team supporting a customer who operates 24x7x365. Own transport required and availability on call is necessary. A/h travel to site in the event of a significant failure.
- Hybrid work model: Onsite at client 3 days a week.
