My client is seeking an experienced
Senior Financial Accountant to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting activities for a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities: - Financial Reporting & Preparation:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, FRS 102, and IFRS, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements for clients, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts and provide insightful financial analysis to clients.
- Client Liaison:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding their financial accounting and reporting needs.
- Provide expert financial advice and support to clients, helping them understand financial reports, make informed decisions, and meet their financial goals.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Audit & Compliance:
- Support the audit process for clients, liaising with auditors and ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, including VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax returns.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to junior staff and trainees, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
- Assist with the training and development of the accounting team, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Taxation & Corporate Governance:
- Provide assistance with corporate tax planning, VAT returns, and other tax-related services, in collaboration with the tax team.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new accounting software and tools where appropriate.
Key Requirements: - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with a strong understanding of UK accounting standards (FRS 102, UK GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Proven experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within a practice accountancy environment.
- Experience of preparing financial statements for a variety of clients, including SMEs, limited companies, and partnerships.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide valuable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems.
- Experience of leading and developing junior staff would be an advantage.
