Job description :
Engineering department with the main responsibilities will include the calibration, repair and maintenance of control gear/instrumentation in the manufacturing process. Devises, selects, sets up and operates electronic instrumentation and related electromechanical or electro hydraulic apparatus used for operational & environmental testing of mechanical, structural or electrical equipment and translates test data for engineering staff. Be fluent in English and be computer literate.
Required skills:
NTC 4
· At least 2 years experiences in Plant maintenance in the engineering field
· At least 2 years experience on FMCG equipment
· Sound knowledge of control instrumentation, weighing equipment, inject coders, VSDs, PLCs and SCADA systems
· Computer literate
· Must be able to work shifts, overtime, on weekends and public holidays
· Willing to work in an extremely environment conditions
· Must not be afraid of heights
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure
Duties and responsibilities:
All instruments calibrated in according to ISO and HACCP standards
· Instrumentation registers (logbooks) updated and calibrations done to set time intervals
· Scheduled maintenance of weighing equipment, inkjet coders, and labellers in the plant
· PLC and SCADA programming, fault finding and backups in place
· Schedules of plant equipment and CCPs up to date and recorded on the Pragma system
· Uphold safety and quality standards at all times
· Ensure that machinery is running at optimal efficiency and KPA targets are reached
· Pro-active with attention to detail
· Spares for breakdowns and maintenance always available and controlled
· Project work involvement
· Adhere to NOSA and ISO 45000 implementation
· Adhere to quality and food safety standards as stated in SOPs
· Partake in SGAs to solve and prevent customer complaints
· Safety inspections to be done with safety representative
· Report all dangerous situations and generate job cards
· Wear protective clothing, hearing protection and any other protection as required in production areas
· Test all safety mechanisms on the equipment
· Report all near misses and incidents.
