Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Grade R Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing a high-quality educational program for Grade R learners, promoting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Implementation : Plan and implement a comprehensive and integrated educational program, aligned with the National Curriculum Statement and the school's policies.
- Teaching and Learning : Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting active learning, exploration, and discovery.
- Assessment and Evaluation : Continuously assess and evaluate learner progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Classroom Management : Establish and maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all learners.
- Parental Involvement : Communicate regularly with parents, providing feedback on learner progress, and encouraging parental involvement in the educational process.
- Teamwork and Collaboration : Work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing best practices, and contributing to the development of the school's curriculum.
- Professional Development : Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in Early Childhood Education.
Requirements:
- Qualifications : A recognized Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
- Experience : A minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching Grade R or a similar age group.
- Registration : Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
- Language : Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Computer Literacy : Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
