What is the purpose of the trainee technician? - Learn to process casting, weldments and wrought products and eventually after training sentence parts.
- Operate Dye Penetrant Line in accordance with techniques under supervision and eventually after training independently process and sentence parts.
- Visual inspection of parts
- Work on one s own initiative and resolve any issues or problems to company specific procedures
- To ensure safe working to comply with EHS standards
- Assist in preparation for Customer visits, Regulatory Audits and prompt follow-up of resulting actions
- Adopting and deploying EATON LEAN systems using the prescribed ELSS tools
- Attend relevant reviews and meetings
- Ensure quality levels are maintained to company standards.
- Asist in reductions of Process control variations within processes.
- Asist in Cost reduction initiatives.
What skills and qualifications will the trainee technician have? - Training will be provided on all aspects of the role
- Knowledge of NDT processes advantageous.
- Knowledge of inspection processes advantageous
- Knowledge of special processes preferred
- Experience of working in a similarly physically demanding environment
- Proven attention to detail
- Demonstrable ability / experience of working to procedures
- Demonstrated logical thinking
Hours of work: - Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16:45pm, Friday 08:00 to 12pm
