We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic AI/ML team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with a focus on building and optimizing data pipelines for Generative AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications. You will work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers to design, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions that drive our AI initiatives.
Are you someone who can:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using tools like Ab Initio and Control-M to support Generative AI and NLP applications.
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance the performance of AI models, including those using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
- Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering, Generative AI, and NLP technologies.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience and Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and its applications in AI.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of NLP techniques and tools (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Experience with ETL tools like Ab Initio and job scheduling tools like Control-M.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
