Westfalia Fruit Marketing - situated in Tzaneen, has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced: Procurement Manager: Fruit
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to the success of Westfalia Marketing in a high-performance and results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully managing the business strategy to channel fruit into both export and local markets.
- Updating and communicating accurate grower estimates on a weekly basis.
- Ensure optimal allocation of fruit into the most suitable channels.
Requirements:
- BSc Agric or BCom International Trade.
- Minimum of +5 years of experience as a Manager within the Fruit Export Environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in the fresh fruit produce, Farming, Supply, and Fruit Export Environment.
Knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, i.e. able to do Pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.
- Knowledge of the fresh fruit production/marketing industry, including import/export regulations and industry dynamics.
- Fruit software platforms such as Pal broker / QX working within an ERP system.
Skills:
- Very strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong commercial acumen skills – understanding how commercial excellence drives business performance.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct analysis, evaluate options, and identify market trends and opportunities.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, Power BI, or similar software.
- Good problem-solving skills.
