The successful individual will be someone that understands the principles of housekeeping, the ability to multi-task with strong organizational planning skills, and must also display strong leadership skills. The successful incumbent will be responsible for aspects related to Dispatching, Logistics, Coordinating, Warehouse admin and ensuring quality and quantity control of spares within the Warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and communicating with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
- Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Ensuring the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
- Capturing proof of deliveries into SAP
- Tracking and fixing shipping errors
- Liaising with purchasing to expedite outstanding deliveries
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, filing of documentation/records, reporting and accurate SAP system administration always
- Effectively and efficiently arranging and processing of customer orders, repair items, SL1’s, retrofits, reclamation and/or returns including the SAP administrative functions required
- Arranging, communicating and coordinating all necessary logistical import/export requirements including specialized packaging; loading/offloading vehicles; documentation; customs requirements e.g. inspections and BV audits etc.; cross-border shipments; courier shipments; oversized/hazardous shipments; etc. for all internal and external customers and company requirements
- Performing stock counts, ad-hoc stock checks and on-going cycle counts with the set Company KPI’s and audit requirements
- Assisting in the Company standby process and standing in for the drivers when necessary or when requested to do so
- Attending to internal and external customer requirements
- Managing shutdown orders and Open Sales order report (Factory output power BI)
- Managing PPE & Tools
- Dispatching of all stock types including hazardous goods both internally and externally stocked to customers including forklift driving, pallet jack utilization, loading/offloading vehicles and the likes
- Processing/preparation of orders by closely liaising with various internal departments ensuring all orders are dispatched timeously to customer ensuring best in class logistical coordination
Your profile
- Matric & relevant Diploma
- 3 years plus of work experience in Warehousing
- MS Office 365 Package, SAP applications (advantageous)
- Must be solutions orientated and able to work under pressure
- Knowledge of the Krones Portfolio
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills
- Ability to handle multiple purchase orders at once
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular)
- Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
