C & I Sales Engineer

About the role
The successful Solar Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing innovative and comprehensive solutions in design engineering for commercial solar photovoltaic projects. The Solar Sales Engineer will also be responsible for sales opportunities, business development and managing client expectations. The Solar Sales Engineer must be reside in Lusaka, Zambia.
Key Responsibilities
1. The ideal candidate must have a basic understanding on designing and installation of commercial solar systems.
2. Identifying potential business opportunities and generating more leads.
3. Solar Projects management experience.
4. Performing site visits, energy audits, overseeing installation and commissioning of industrial and commercial solar systems.
5. Coordinating and participating in Bids for solar projects.
6. Regularly updating management of status of various projects and potential opportunities in the market.
7. Designing commercial solar systems including drawings (SLDs, Panel Layout , Stringing , inverter and earthing layouts).
8. Report writing and participation in project proposals.
9. Regular client engagements, project feasibility modelling and management of procurement
Candidate requirements
Education:
• Pr Tech Eng or Pr Eng beneficial.
• Bachelor of Engineering and/or Bachelor of Science (BEng, Bsc).
• A Level or O Level
Experience:
• Experience in Solar PV projects.
• +3 Years of experience in Sales.
• Knowledge in PVSyst , Helioscope , AutoCAD and or other design and simulation software.
• Wireman license is an added advantage.
Additional Considerations
• Must have own transport.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Professional, self-motivated and target driven.
