Service Competency Specialist (d/f/m) - Wetzlar
As part of the global service organization, the Service Documentation and Training Team is responsible for developing and expanding the skills of service employees worldwide. The team is spread across four locations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Together with service specialists, we create training concepts, technical documentation, and training materials, including presentations and e-learnings, across all locations. We also plan and organize service training courses in close cooperation with the trainers and regional service managers, primarily to enable field service specialists (including channel partners) to install, maintain, and repair Leica Microsystems products based on defined standards and procedures.

Als Teil der globalen Service-Organisation ist das Service Dokumentation und Trainings Team für Kompetenzaufbau und -erweiterung der Servicemitarbeiter weltweit zuständig. Das Team verteilt sich auf vier Standorte in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz. Standortübergreifend erstellen wir gemeinsam mit Servicespezialisten Trainingskonzepte, technische Dokumentation und Trainingsmaterial, unter anderem Präsentationen und E-Learnings. Außerdem planen und organisieren wir Servicetrainings in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Trainern und regionalen Servicemanagern, vor allem, um Feldservicespezialisten (inkl. Vertriebspartner) in die Lage zu versetzen, die Produkte von Leica Microsystems auf Grundlage definierter Standards und Vorgehensweisen zu installieren, zu warten und zu reparieren.
IHR VERANTWORTUNGSBEREICH
- Standortübergreifende Erstellung und Aktualisierung von verständlichen (zielgruppengerechten) und normenkonformen Servicedokumenten sowie die redaktionelle Prüfung und Versionsmanagement
- Erstellen und Aktualisieren von Online-Trainings (E-Learnings, Webinare, virtuelle Schulungen usw.) in Abstimmung mit Service- und Produktexperten
- Mitarbeit bei der Definition von Trainingsstruktur und -inhalten sowie Erstellung der Training Guidelines und des Training Materials
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creation and updating of comprehensible (target group-oriented) and standard-compliant service documents as well as editorial review and version management
- Creating and updating online trainings (e-learnings, webinars, virtual trainings etc.) in coordination with service and product experts
- Contributing to the definition of training structure and content as well as the creation of training guidelines and training material
IHR PROFIL
- Studium zum technischen Redakteur oder Studium im technischen Bereich mit Fachausbildung zum technischen Redakteur
- Mehrjährige Berufserfahrungen im Bereich Technische Dokumentation, vorzugsweise im Medizinproduktebereich, sowie Erfahrung im Bereich Trainingserstellung, idealerweise von Service Schulungen
- Sehr gute schriftliche und mündliche Kenntnisse in Englisch und vorzugsweise in Deutsch
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in technical writing or in the technical field with specialized training as a technical writer
- Couple of years experience in the field of technical documentation, preferably in the medical device sector and experience in training creation, ideally of service training courses
- Very good written and verbal skills in English and good German skills
