An experienced Chef, with a good all-round knowledge of the kitchen, office and computer systems. I have excellent knowledge of ordering, stock control, food budgets, wages and health & hygiene management. I am also an extremely hard working and enthusiastic individual who thrives on improving standards and implementing new ideas.
I have a very high awareness of health and safety issues and a keen eye for detail because in my roles lives can depend on me having these qualities. I am also highly organised and very skilful at multitasking, something which I’ve always had to do in my previous roles.
I have always had to update my skills in line with changing legislation and I am a strong believer in continually developing myself. I am very good at thinking on my feet and making quick decisions in order to resolve problems, and am able to remain calm in a crisis.
Also gained caring experience while look after my two elderly parents who had complex health issues up until their passing.
In addition, I've done some house cleaning ever few weeks for an elderly couple.
About
I had been unable to work for a number of years due to family caring responsibilities, these
circumstances then changed. Following a couple of jobs, I had to take a break from work whilst
waiting for surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome on my hands, this has now successfully taken place. I am seeking a role that will challenge and fulfil me. Looking for a part time role of about 20 hours a week. This does not necessarily have to be in catering. I enjoy working within a team so that I can get to know people and achieve our goals together but I am able to work equally well alone.
