About
SUPPORTING STATEMENT
I am applying for this role because I genuinely enjoy working in environments where organisation, communication and teamwork come together to support others. Throughout my three years at Kantar, my experience working with young people, and my voluntary leadership role with Mendes Entertainment, I have developed strong administrative, leadership and operational skills that I believe match the expectations of this role. I am also a Chartered Manager, which reflects my commitment to working at a high professional standard and continuously improving myself.
Leadership & Team Management Experience
During my degree apprenticeship at Kantar, I rotated through four departments, and each rotation taught me something different about leadership and managing people effectively. Whether I was in Sales, Operations, Client Delivery, or Client Service, I often took responsibility for organising work, checking progress, supporting others, and ensuring deadlines were met. One of the biggest things I learned was the importance of clear communication when working with different teams that have varying expectations.
My leadership experience also extends outside of work. In my voluntary role with Mendes Entertainment, I hold a senior administrative position, where I manage finance administration, oversee contracts, schedule meetings, update calendars, communicate with stakeholders, and support event planning. This role has helped me build confidence in leading tasks independently and shown me the significant impact that good organisation can have. Supporting a team in this way taught me how to balance multiple responsibilities while still delivering high-quality work.
Administrative Excellence, Confidentiality & Process Management
Across all my roles, strong administration has been at the centre of what I do. At Kantar, I worked with internal systems, updated databases, monitored ticketing platforms, and handled confidential documents daily. I learned the importance of accuracy, especially when managing information that others rely on.
I am confident in using digital systems, and I quickly adapt to new ones. This includes HR and internal management platforms, Microsoft Office and reporting dashboards. I regularly produced reports, updated documents, monitored processes and handled tasks that required precision.
I am also used to handling confidential information, both at Kantar and in previous roles. I understand the importance of adhering to safeguarding and GDPR requirements, particularly in an educational setting.
Communication, Relationship Building & Professional Conduct
My experience in customer-facing roles at Swissport, Pret and Hilton helped me build strong, positive communication skills. I learned how to remain calm in fast-paced or demanding situations and how to support individuals with diverse needs. These experiences helped me become more confident, patient and professional.
My time as a residential support worker further strengthened this. Working with young people every day taught me how to speak with empathy, how to understand behaviour, and how to stay aware of safeguarding responsibilities. This will be very valuable when supporting students, staff and parents within the Academy office.
Organisation, Initiative & Ability to Work Independently
Across both my paid roles and voluntary work, I have always been relied on to take initiative and manage tasks independently. Whether it was updating internal systems at Kantar, organising workflow for my team, or managing calendars and contracts for Mendes Entertainment, I learned how to priorities tasks, stay organised and keep things moving smoothly. These experiences taught me how to stay calm when things get busy, how to plan effectively, and how to ensure I am supporting the people around me.
Commitment to Professional Development
Completing my Business Management degree apprenticeship while working full-time was one of my most significant achievements. I also gained Chartered Manager (CMgr MCMI) status, which shows my dedication to leadership and high-quality work. I am currently studying for a Level 4 qualification in Financial Planning, which has improved my attention to detail, problem-solving skills and understanding of professional standards. I am always open to learning and improving.
