About
I bring value through my strong communication skills, commitment to delivering high standards in every task, and a consistent work ethic. I take pride in showing initiative and striving to go beyond what is expected of me, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the best of my ability.
My work experience with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service strengthened my ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Being paired with individuals I had not previously met challenged me to quickly adapt my communication and teamwork skills. I successfully built positive working relationships and contributed towards achieving our shared objective of clearing the streets of Liverpool of toxic combustible materials during Operation Banger. I also volunteered my own time on weekends during this period to further support efforts in preventing the spread of anti-social behaviour fires.
I have successfully completed a First Aid qualification, enhancing my ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations. In addition, I achieved a Level 1 Mental Health First Aid qualification, which has developed my awareness of mental wellbeing and strengthened my compassion and understanding when supporting others who may be experiencing difficulties.
In September 2025, I took part in a King’s Trust course delivered by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, which played a major role in my personal development. The programme encouraged me to challenge myself and try new experiences outside of my comfort zone. The first few weeks focused on building relationships through icebreaker activities designed to help us settle in and work effectively as a team. These activities were both enjoyable and valuable, requiring collaboration, problem-solving, and ensuring that everyone’s voice was heard.
During the residential trip, we participated in activities such as canoeing, where three teams worked together to navigate around the lake through narrow gaps and open water. Each person had an important role, and clear communication was essential to keep the boat balanced, moving safely, and on course. Another example of teamwork during the King’s Trust course was the planning and preparation of our community project. As a group, we researched various non-profit organisations that may have required assistance and contacted charities to offer our support. After agreeing on dates and visiting facilities together, we collectively decided which organisation we would support as our final project.
Contacting these non-profit charity organisations was an important part of the project. In preparation, each of us contacted different organisations to explain what we, as a team, could offer. While providing information about our skills and availability, we also gained insight into potential projects we could complete, ranging from painting and decorating to gardening and maintenance. Following these conversations, we arranged visits to the organisations to see first-hand what support we could provide. Ultimately, we chose Netherton Family Wellbeing Centre, while also ensuring we contacted the other charities respectfully to inform them that we would be unable to work with them on this occasion.
As part of the King’s Trust course preparation for our community project, we also needed to secure funding to purchase materials such as paint, paint brushes, masking tape, and wooden planks to repair a broken bench. As a team, we discussed different fundraising ideas and ultimately organised a visit to Bootle Asda, where we promoted our project and collected donations to support the work we planned to complete.
I further developed my leadership and organisational skills while volunteering at Netherton Family Wellbeing Centre. I took responsibility for clearly communicating plans, helping to organise team activities, and ensuring everyone remained engaged and included. At the same time, I actively listened to others’ ideas to promote a collaborative, respectful, and productive working environment.
I am a reliable and committed individual who consistently demonstrates punctuality and dedication. In my most recent role at Abercrombie & Fitch in Cheshire Oaks, I regularly travelled long distances, leaving home two hours before each shift to ensure I arrived prepared and ready to contribute positively to the workplace. This experience reflects my motivation, professionalism, and commitment to fulfilling my responsibilities.
