I am a flexible and responsible individual with a clear and logical mind, who has a practical approach within any workplace. Whilst working in school and warehouses I was able to take instructions and work well within a team yet still be able to work on my own initiative. Having supported the children in the classrooms during ICT lesson, I developed skills that were needed to work in a large group. Working in warehouses also allowed me to work on my teamwork skills as well as adapting to any problems that might arise and the different jobs I was asked to do by my team managers.

Working in a large distribution centre, my duties would involve:
Picking items from boxes using a handheld scanner
Packing items ready for the buyer
Packing returned items to be put back on shelves
Putting away small to large boxes and returned items onto shelves ready for picking
Stock checks
Emptying and filling trailers of pallets of stock
Filling trollies up with full boxes ready for put away
Flattening boxes in the baler
Would sometimes work in a small team
Keeping isles as tidy as possible, putting away any loose items found on floors or shelves
Follow the health and safety guidelines
Learnt how to use the various equipment safely such as safety knifes, pump trucks, pallets and scanners
