About
Through extracurricular activities and work experience, I have developed many mandatory skills that a directly relevant to a career in law, particularly teamwork, attention to detail, communication, and key organisation skills. During my work experience program with Royal Mail, I worked across several key departments, each requiring extensive teamwork and responsibility. In the supply chain department, my role involved day-to-day operations, where accuracy and attention to detail were essential. This experience highlighted for me the emphasis on precision as even small errors can have wider consequences a skill that very much resonates within the legal world. One of my hobbies is teaching/tutoring, I was able to express this hobby when I was given the opportunity by my school to volunteer by helping out key stage three students who had difficulties reading develop their literacy skills, this was part of a program called reading buddies. During this program I learned many key skills such as patience, adaptability and the ability to communicate clearly to understand the students needs, I was able to push some of these students to able to read more complex materials though manageable steps and adjusting my approach to fit the individual student. Additionally the responsibility of preparing sessions and tracking progress helped me develop further organisation skills
