About
My name is AMOFA GEORGE, and I am a reliable, hardworking, and motivated individual with strong experience in warehouse and logistics operations. I am currently studying MSc Information Technology with Project Management at the University of the West of Scotland, which is helping me develop strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills alongside my practical work experience.
I have several years of hands-on experience working in warehouse environments in Ghana. I worked as a Picker and Packer at Angel Group of Companies, where I was responsible for receiving deliveries of raw materials, bottles, cans, and packaging supplies. My duties included picking and packing beverage orders, loading and unloading vehicles, wrapping and labelling pallets, and preparing goods for dispatch. I maintained accurate stock records, assisted with inventory counts, and ensured all tasks were carried out in line with food safety and health and safety regulations. I consistently worked to daily targets and delivery schedules, demonstrating efficiency and time management skills.
Before that, I worked as a Sorter and Packer at Pukka Fashion Warehouse, where I accurately picked second-hand clothing items based on order lists and identified products by size, brand, and condition. I also checked items for defects and ensured quality standards were maintained. Earlier in my career, I worked with DHL in Kumasi as a Parcel Sorter, where I sorted and processed parcels under strict time targets and followed manual handling and safety procedures carefully.
My key skills include manual handling, teamwork, good communication, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure. I am flexible with shifts, willing to learn new skills, and eligible to work in the UK. My achievements include consistently meeting performance targets, maintaining safety standards, and contributing positively to team productivity in fast-paced warehouse environments.
