About
I am based in Manchester and currently seeking new work opportunities due to the imminent closure of the factory where I am employed. I have over 20 years of professional experience in sewing and leatherwork, including work in both factory environments and small retail workshops. I am highly skilled in working with industrial sewing machines (light- and heavy-duty), flatbed machines, and overlockers. I own four industrial sewing machines and an overlocker, which allows me to take on factory-scale and large-volume orders.
My experience includes:
• Sewing products from various types of fabric, as well as leather and heavy materials
• High-quality leather repairs and production of finished leather goods
• Reading, interpreting, and developing patterns according to client requirements
• Operating a leather cutting press and carrying out printing on leather
• Strong quality control, including checking orders before cutting or final assembly to minimise waste
• Machine setup, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance
I have excellent attention to detail, strong hand–eye coordination and consistently deliver work to a high professional standard. I am flexible with working hours, provided agreed deadlines are met. If you are interested, please let me know, and I will get in touch with you privately.
