Having moved into workshop management 15yrs ago, I have kept my feet firmly on the workshop floor.
My daily tasks are to oversee the smooth running of a busy commercial vehicle workshop (vehicle damage/modifications etc). This includes dealing with customers on designs/repairs through to purchasing and invoicing.
Communication and managing staff are key to this role, and I keep my manual skills and experience fully up to date by being actively involved on the workshop floor during busy periods.
I am also an active volunteer for a local charity that I support. Skills and experience gained in this role include retail shop work/ home checks/ fund raising activities.
I am proud to be involved, and that the charity receives positive feedback back from people that I deal with.
