About me, my career and future aspirations. I am looking to return to work after my 2nd child. I previously worked as a retail manager for 11 years working my way up from a consultant to manager across multiple sized turnover stores. I was appointed senior store manager for the region working closely with my regional manager covering a vast array of retail life. I helped with store closures, new store openings, HR processes including investigations, dismissals, onboarding and training new managers, leading and facilitating multiple stock takes, completing numerous retail NVQs alongside running was was classed as the ‘centre of excellence’ store within the region. Myself and my team always strived to give the highest level of customer service alongside maintaining high levels of VM, operational excellence and cleanliness within the store.

Unfortunately I was part of a business that called in administrators and saw 50% of the workforce cut overnight. It didn’t matter who you were, your service or what you brought to the table to the administrators we were a number. I therefore lost my job at 32 weeks pregnant and now 18 months on I am looking to return to a role part time and have availability on Monday & Thursday daytimes as well as either a Wednesday or Friday evening. I will turn my hand to anything and will always put In 110% effort. Whilst my children are young this is all the availability I have but I would love to join a business that aligns with my values and who I see a career progression with long term.
