Motivated and results driven individual with extensive customer service and management experience. I have been responsible for leading teams within individual business units, larger groups at a regional level and held strategic roles in a head office environment. My career began at British Transport Hotels moving on board trains as On Board Purser in charge of the prestigious Tees Tyne Pullman ending up at Head office in a variety of roles. Voluntary severance in 2003 provided the opportunity to follow my dreams and along with my partner we bought a small hotel in Scotland. This involves a huge commitment and after 12 years we rented out our remaining 2 pubs leading me to seek employment. I took up the post of Night Manager at a small boutique hotel in Aberdeen prior to my appointment as Night Manager for The University of Aberdeen. An enhanced voluntary severance offer resulted in me leaving my post at the end of July 2025. I am now seeking part time hospitality / customer service work ideally night shift.
