About
I will turn 18 in October 2025, I am a responsible, trustworthy and committed young adult looking for opportunities of either full or part time employment. I am about to complete year 1 of a Hair and Beauty Diploma at Leeds City College. However, I have made the decision to take some time out of education to focus on finding employment and build on my work experience. I have expanded my skills from customer service interactions to organisational duties. During my shifts, I am required to follow precise instructions to ensure the high standards of the baked goods alongside the careful process of preparing and selling desserts and hot drinks.
As well as attending to customers I take phone calls and orders. I liaise with the shop owner, ensure stock is kept on top of and cash up at the end of my shifts.
As a result of this employment, I have become aware of high standards of hygiene as it is also my duty to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop floor, kitchen and products. I disinfect surfaces, record temperatures of the bakes and prevent cross contamination by meticulously following high standards of food hygiene and safety. The independence and responsibility this job has allowed me has helped my confidence to grow, unfortunately the owner of the Business is soon due to sell and move on which is why I am seeking employment elsewhere.
