About
I am an experienced and compassionate professional with a strong background in health and social care, including roles in residential child care and special educational needs (SEN) support. I hold a dual honours degree in Criminology and Psychology (2:2), which has equipped me with a deep understanding of behavioural and emotional development, as well as the psychological and social factors influencing behaviour.
My career has primarily focused on supporting vulnerable children and young people, particularly in residential settings where I have served as a Senior Residential Child Care Worker. In this role, I provided consistent emotional and practical support, implemented care plans, and worked collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes.
More recently, I have transitioned into a more flexible career path following the birth of my child, while continuing to explore opportunities that align with my passion for education, mental health, and child development—such as self-employed roles in SEN tutoring. My strengths lie in building trusting relationships, managing challenging behaviours with empathy and structure, and tailoring support to meet individual needs.
