My passion is running. I'm an endurance runner and love to challenge myself to go longer and longer. Unfortunately, my passion doesn't pay the bills.
My working passion is all things data and I love to tell its story. I have been described as a self-starter and forward thinking. I have a can do attitude and have always found a way of doing what needs to be done to get the job done. I am passionate about continual improvements and finding ways of working smarter and more efficiently.

Whilst employed, temporarily, at Foundation Technology I saw an opportunity to provide them with analysis that could help improve the efficiency of their manufacturing process. The fault information that was being captured, when I first started, was the type of fault that had occurred. The build card did include the details of the position of the fault on the printed circuit boards, but this was not captured. I implemented the capture of this additional information and I further expanded this by cross referencing the board type and position code to capture the component information. I was then able to show, through my analysis, trends with the fault type, where the fault occurred and also able to do analysis of the components used. This enabled them to investigate further to find if it was down to faulty components or if it was an area within their manufacturing process.
The Quality Manager head-hunted me a few months later, when they had a permanent position available, and offered me a substantial pay rise to return. I was informed that the analysis that I had provided was extremely valuable and that this level of information had never been available in the 25 years that the MD had been there.
In my position with Avon Cosmetics I have been instrumental in improving the service level to our Reps and meeting our service KPIs. This has been achieved by building and maintaining a multi-functional Excel template, for all the campaign’s products (approx. 2500 items), which utilises data from multiple sources that is added to it each day. Using Excel’s functionalities, it will show the stock level we believe we have, the warehouse’s current stock level, current deliveries that are due, the 15 day forecast, the current trend and sales figures. It will also show any substitutions that apply with the stock and delivery data for those.
From this spreadsheet we can then produce several business reports without the need for some or all of the reports to be downloaded again multiple times by different team members.
In producing this service tool it has helped us to work smarter and more efficiently which has allowed us to be proactive rather than reactive. It has enabled the department to meet the Order Fulfilment Rate KPIs which has also minimized lost sales and excess inventory.
