About
My last appointment was to define, deliver and maintain recruitment software, MI reporting, data analysis and other business support tasks in an ad-hoc manner for a variety of public and private sector clients. Timescales and priorities would frequently change, sometimes on a daily basis, requiring excellent stakeholder communication, reprioritisation, and resource allocation.
The recruitment business I previously worked for supplied temporary agency workers on a Consolidated invoice scheme. This required me to manage financial data for individuals, including adherence and monitoring of AWR, Hourly shift rates for multiple agencies, Tenure monitoring and reporting, as well as supply chain monitoring, pipeline reporting, and line manager spend based on budgeted hours per role.
In my previous employment, I was based in the `Business Support Function`. Although not defined as a dedicated PMO, it covered the same duties and tasks.
My duties included or supported project scheduling, resource management, policy and Governance, RISK management and issue management.
As part of the `Business Support Function`, one of my duties was to train others in the use of Excel with a focus on pivot tables. other duties included report writing and spreadsheet generation from data import or external database connections (ODBC, CSV, Web queries).
I have used Microsoft Word to produce documentation covering Company policy, training, tender writing and many other forms of documents.
PowerPoint was used, and in the past I have written many PowerPoint presentations; however, as a company we moved to other forms of presentation, such as Google Slides, Prezi or Canva.
I enjoy a challenge and a job well done. I am looking forward to being able to share my skills and experience in a role that will enable me to grow further. My last appointment saw a shift from my software developer role to a more team and project-based role. This was a welcome change and one I would like to pursue further, hence my interest in this vacancy.
In addition to the above, my peers, for the last 18+ years, have been mainly graduates with a very wide and diverse spectrum of personalities, from a wealth of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, encompassing a wide range of sexual and gender identities.
