Having worked within the railway industry previously I have good customer service experience as well as dealing with internal and external contractors, including TOCs, FOCs & Route Controls
Clear concise communication dealing with faults between customers and contractors to arrange efficient and timely responses to archive the best outcome, in order to the keep the railway and passengers moving as close to the timetables and schedules as possible, whilst also keeping the customer informed of any updates that may occur
Whist working within Network Rail, I became fluent in using the OPAS system and also using the Microsoft applications and having a sound understanding of Google drive and Teams
Whist commuting to and from Stockport I have a good understanding of realtimetrains.co.uk as and when needed to see train time journeys and their time of arrival at stations using the appropriate head code
Due to my outgoing nature I am comfortable I Can communicate either verbally face to face or using emails as well as communicating over the phone with both work colleagues and customers in calm and positive manner under stressful situations such as cancelled or heavily delayed services
I am methodical in the way I work by communicating clearly with other colleagues in the event that important information needs distributing also
With my previous role at GFM, I was located within a school, as part of this role I had a enhanced DBS and due to working around children - I had to adhere to children safeguarding procedures and Special Educational Needs policies (SEN)
