Role: Management Accountant

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000, dependant on experience

The owners are looking for a commercially minded accountant with strong business partnering skills who will look to identify operational profit gains within the business and improve processes within the accounting function and wider business.

Duties:

Responsible and accountable for the production of accurate and timely management accounts, and the integrity of all balance sheet accounting on behalf of each retail until.
Managing a small team to ensure the accounts are delivered in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsible for interpreting the management accounts and providing commentary and insights, highlighting potential challenges in addition to successes.
Support the external audit process and provide responses to any related queries to ensure the audit process is conducted smoothly and accurately.

Skills and Experience:

Professionally qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with expertise in management accounting, month-end processes, and leading finance teams.
Skilled in preparing and presenting detailed monthly reports to owners.
Experienced in managing internal and external stakeholders, ideally within an SME.
Proficient in Xero, ERP systems, and reporting tools like Excel and Power BI.
Competent with MS Office, including PowerPoint, and a strong communicator with a positive attitude.
