Set up and maintain a par level of stock on hand.
Supervise and manage stock takes.
Ensure accurate stock takes.
Delegate tasks that need to be fulfilled to your junior barmen.
Ensure that all bar staff work correctly with all alcohol to minimize waste and maintain accurate stock counts.
Resolve staff grievances between the barmen or between barmen and other staff; escalate unresolved issues to the manager.
Manage bar staff to complete duty checklists and maintain consistency in drink preparation, ensuring all staff know the appearance and recipe quantities of each drink.
Reprimand bar staff as necessary.
Assist in the development of new menu cocktails and drinks.
Ensure that all storerooms are neat and tidy, and that all bar staff adhere to a standard for stock organization (delegate this task).
Think of and implement new systems to enhance operational efficiency, subject to approval.
