Are you passionate about contributing to global health and vaccine innovation? Afrigen Biologics is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our team, supporting new products and new technologies development.
This includes mRNA vaccines for disease targets such as Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), Gonorrhoea, and the introduction of the Quantoom Ntensify automated manufacturing machine.
This role requires a strong scientific/technical background and the ability to support complex product development projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to meaningful health innovations
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities for RSV, Gonorrhoea, Quantoom, and other development projects.
- Support project planning, milestone tracking, and resource management.
- Act as a bridge between project management and R&D and CMC teams, facilitating clear and efficient communication.
- Assist with data collection, documentation, and compliance with scientific standards.
- Identify potential project risks and collaborate on mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Project management course would be advantageous
- 2-4 years in a R&D or project management role within biotech, research, or pharma environments.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, familiarity with scientific/ technical report writing, and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
