About the role The Marketing Coordinator Intern plays a key role in supporting the marketing team in executing strategic campaigns and promoting the companys brand and services. The intern will report directly to the CEO and will collaborate closely with other Marketing coordinators and consultants, to assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies. This position is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in marketing while contributing to Icarus Media's overall growth and brand visibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, creation, and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, email, etc.).
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce content for marketing materials, including newsletters, social media posts, and blog articles.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing feedback and suggestions for optimization.
- Assist in managing the companys social media accounts, ensuring regular engagement and timely updates.
- Support event planning and execution for client events.
- Help with market research to identify new trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities.
- Maintain and update the marketing database, ensuring accurate tracking of leads and marketing performance.
- Assist with preparing the analytics reports for clients.
Requirements
- Qualification in Marketing.
- Able to design basic content on platforms such as CANVA or Adobe products.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) and an understanding of how to leverage them for brand awareness and engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Creative mindset with an ability to contribute fresh ideas for campaigns, content, and marketing strategies.
- South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.
- Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.
