We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, with expertise in SQL and PowerBI, as well as a solid understanding of business knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- SQL: Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data.
- PowerBI: Create and maintain PowerBI reports and dashboards to visualize data insights.
- Business Knowledge: Apply business knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
- Data Visualization: Create and present data visualizations to stakeholders to communicate insights and recommendations.
- Data Quality: Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, including business leaders, to understand business requirements and provide data-driven insights.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certifications: Certification in data analysis, such as Google Data Analytics or Microsoft Power BI, would be an advantage
Requirements
- Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience: 5 years of experience in data analysis, with expertise in SQL and PowerBI
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of:
- Data analysis and interpretation
- SQL and database management
- PowerBI and data visualization
- Business knowledge and process improvement
