Join our dynamic team as a Stock Control Manager at a leading manufacturing company in Atlantis!
We are on the lookout for an experienced professional who is ready to take charge of our stock management operations within a large warehouse and stores environment. This is your chance to make a significant impact by ensuring our inventory levels meet production demands while optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
What you will do:
- Lead inventory management: Take the reins on overseeing stock levels, ensuring accurate records, and preventing overstocking or shortages. You willconduct monthly and yearly stocktakes, including cycle counts and audits, to maintain impeccable inventory accuracy.
- Implement cutting-edge systems: Set up and maintain robust inventory management systems, including BOM (Bill of Materials) and manufacturing systems. Utilize Sage Evolution for stock reconciliation, tracking variances, and generating insightful reports.
- Supervise and inspire your team: Manage a dedicated team of two subordinates, providing guidance, support, and effective training to enhance their performance.
- Analyze and report: Prepare comprehensive daily, monthly, and yearly reports on stock levels, variances, and production figures. You will investigate discrepancies between reported production numbers and actual stock on the floor (including good stock, seconds, and waste).
- Drive operational efficiency: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while thriving under pressure in our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Minimum requirements:
- Educational background: A qualification in cost accounting or relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in stock control within a manufacturing or production environment. Proven experience with Sage Evolution or similar inventory management software is essential.
- Skills that shine:
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail for precise reporting.
- Excellent computer literacy, particularly in Excel and other inventory management systems.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to work longer hours when required, showcasing your commitment to meeting operational demands.
Working Conditions:
You will typically work from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM in our vibrant manufacturing facility. Flexibility in hours may be required during peak periods or special projects.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary ranging from R30,000 to R35,000 per month.
