We are looking for you supporting our international team in Munich as
Application Engineer (m/f/d)
in the field of optical measurement technology
- Developing a good understanding of customer's samples (e.g., OLED displays, µLEDs, VCSEL/laser sources) and on-site measurement conditions (e.g., environmental conditions, tact-time etc.) to be able to provide the best light measurement solution
- Promoting sales projects, measure samples, process results and prepare customer's presentations
- Accompanying product introductions as a technical peer for the customer and contemplate external feedback as well as demonstrating devices to customers in-house or on-site
- Developing measuring workflows or small apps (e.g., C/C++/C# or Python) leveraging the company's internal SDK
- Leading trouble shootings, performing failure analysis and doing data analysis (e.g., on log-files)
- Collaboration with sales, key account management, product management, R&D teams, and international support groups, e.g., located in Korea, China, or Vietnam
- University/Master degree in engineering or natural sciences with a flair for programming (e.g., C/C++/C# or Python) and data analysis
- Proven track record of working with customers, e.g., Application Engineering, Sales, Service Engineer or similar
- Professional experience in photonics, radiometry, or lightmeasurement (e.g., working with spectroscopy, goniophotometry, and calibration standards)
- Knowledge in the field of automation and/or semiconductor industry is of advantage
- Conversational and intercultural skills and marked ability to lead in-depth technical calls and discussions with international customers
- Your work is based in Munich with willingness to travel, ~10% travel time
You are working on the cutting edge of new consumer electronics products e.g. mobile phones, AR/VR devices, and the development of principle technologies, such as OLED/LCD or other display technology, VCSEL and LIDAR.
