Responsibilities:
- Ensure group-wide exchange control compliance
- Oversee the compilation and submission of exchange control applications
- Support group strategy
- Ensure alignment with legal, tax, and accounting functions across the group
- Manage general banking facility agreements and review documentation
- Drive investment optimization considering risks and market conditions
- Support the daily cash management and forex trading function
- Prepare and present quarterly Treasury and Finance reports
- Manage Treasury systems
- Drive process optimisation and system standardisation
- Drive fluctuations and project consultation on payment terms and liquidity
- Oversee the external audit process across performance areas
- Assist Group Finance Executive and Finance & Treasury teams with ad-hoc projects
Requirements:
- Post graduate qualification advantageous (CIMA, CA or similar)
- 10-12 years related experience of which at least 5 years in a similar or leadership role
- Extensive experience in exchange control compliance in South Africa and Africa
- Very good knowledge and understanding of exchange control
- Strong knowledge of central bank legislations in South Africa and Africa
- Proficient with Advanced skills in MS Office and MS Excel
- Strong skills in Finance and Treasury Management systems
- Extensive experience in external debt replacements and issuing of new debt
- Understanding and working knowledge of the Corporate Investment Banking
- Understanding of landscape and Retail Industry
- Proven track record of managing currency risk and optimising foreign exchange
- Proven leadership and team management skills
