About the job Release Manager: Salesforce
Key purpose:
To operationalise the companys Business Banking Salesforce platform
Duties and responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of all aspects related to ensuring a healthy Salesforce.com platform.
- Designing, testing, deploying and maintaining the platform in line with governance, standards and relevant frameworks.
- Taking responsibility for scheduling, planning and controlling the software delivery life cycle (SDLC).
- Enabling DevOps best practice, ideas, innovation and automation across the platform
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience on the Salesforce platform inclusive of release management, Salesforce Administrator, and implementing Salesforce.com technology-based solutions (and 3 - 5 years in a DevOps or IT Engineering role)
- Must have experience with at least 2 different Salesforce Cloud platforms (for ex: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud) or Installed Applications.
- Experience of working on enterprise Salesforce.com platform and the implications related to Release Management.
- Experience managing the release processes for business on-boarding projects and data migrations.
- Hands on experience with Salesforce.com configurations, roles, profiles, strong APEX experience, and other permission controls.
- Proven experience and proficiency in refreshing a sandbox, must know how to package and deploy metadata components, knowledge on release branching strategies, code merging and should have worked on conflict resolution strategies.
- Proven experience managing DevOps teams and mentoring engineers
- Industry experience working with Big Data platforms
- Experience in using and manipulating APIs, API documentation
- Visualization experience advantage (ELK, Grafana, Splunk)
- 7+ years experience on the Salesforce platform
- 5 years in a DevOps or IT Engineering role
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - IT Engineering
- Honours Degree in Information Technology - Computer Science or Information Technology - IT Engineering
Knowledge of:
- A strong understanding of CRM, Sales, Marketing, and other business processes.
- Good knowledge and experience with AppExchange products and understanding of how to install/de-install.
- Should have strong understanding of deployments using Force.com migration tools (Salesforce Tools IDE, GITlab, and Version Control i.e. AutoRabit ).
