Head Chef - Mossel Bay
Our client based in Mossel Bay is looking for a dynamic, creative and passionate Head Chef to join their team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Staff Management - training, mentoring, upskilling, full management
- Stock Management - stock takes, stock rotation, wastage and spoilage control
- Menu Design - adaptable to function menus, a la carte and buffet menus - promotions, wine tasting, etc.
- Menu Costing - ensure a consistent and sustainable menu cost
- Health, Hygiene and Safety Standards - implement and control
- Food Safety Standards - implement and control
- General Administration - reports, rosters, etc.
- Liaising with Guests - including organizers for various events i.e. matric farewells, weddings, etc.
- Any other duties as required by management
Qualifications:
- Diploma in culinary arts
- 5 years minimum in a similar role
- Fully computer literate - MS Office Suite
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Own reliable transport due to location
