Our client, specializing in the labour relations industry in the Kwa-Zulu Natal region, is seeking a Bargaining Council Agent, who would fit in well with their dynamic team. Reporting into the CEO and Compliance Officer on all matters.

Duties include the following, but not limited to:
• Enforce collective agreement by ensuring primary compliance in that all new and unregistered establishments comply by registering with the Bargaining Council
• Explain the collective agreement to new clients, employees and established engagements
• Ensure recruitment of new establishments and employees
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure full compliance
• Promote and monitor collective agreement compliance
• Issue compliance orders to non-compliant establishments
• Deliver and ensure compliance orders are received and signed off by the establishment
• Must be the face of the Bargaining council by ensuring a presentable, approachable and welcoming front to all members
• Ensure planned visits to member establishments at least once or twice per year
• Constant and consistent communication with member establishments and employees updating them of any legislative changes via phone e-mail or visit
• Attend to member queries, concerns and resolve them timeously
• Manage negotiation and mediation processes between establishment owners and employees
• Ensure prompt responses to all e-mail correspondences
• Manage and ensure hand deliveries of all compliance notices
• Engage Case Managers to ensure Compliance orders submissions for processing
• Arrange settlement agreements with clients in liaison with the Legal and Compliance Manager
• Prepare, submit weekly and monthly reports
• Ensure all relevant data is uploaded onto the SAP system
• Opening of new files for new establishments
• Ensure filing is kept up to date
• Prepare document packs for client meetings
• Manage travel and client engagements in a cost-effective manner
Requirements:
• B Degree will be an advantage but not a requirement
• Post graduate qualification in Labour Relations
• Experience working on SAP
• Detailed knowledge of Bargaining Councils – History, Functions, Processes and Structures
• 2 Years’ Bargaining Council experience
• 2 Years’ Labour Relations/Law experience
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Willing to travel to regions and possess a valid Driver’s Licence
• Own reliable transport
