Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled IT Executive to serve as a Platform Owner within our Information Technology division. As the Platform Owner, you will be responsible for creating roadmaps and continual improvement plans for our IT platform. This role entails providing subject matter expertise and ensuring the integrity and sustainability of the platform and its associated application domains. Additionally, you will oversee Platform Engineering, directing efforts to ensure business fit and adherence to non-functional elements of platform implementation. You will play a key role in defect/incident resolution and mitigating significant impacts on business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to development and operations teams to ensure the availability, supportability, and operational capability of all applications.
- Manage service across platforms, multiple channels, and services to ensure availability, performance, and process maturity.
- Proactively identify platform enhancements, lead the business case approval process, communicate roadmaps, and ensure stakeholder engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Define, drive, and adhere to adoption of platform principles, standards, and governance.
- Maintain an understanding of current and emerging company strategy and business plans that the platform needs to enable.
- Share knowledge and expertise to support business and IT change.
- Contribute to concept documents, business cases, and ROI proposals related to infrastructure enhancements.
- Review and approve estimation and impact assessment activities to support capacity and capability planning.
- Define target IT Operations model, drive transformation to reach the target, and govern adherence.
Requirements:
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Background in software development.
- Minimum of 10 years of enterprise-level software delivery experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing agile delivery teams.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing operations.
- Financial services experience is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Vast experience in IT delivery and operations management.
- Working knowledge of software engineering best practices and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of software methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong knowledge of IT service management and ITIL practices.
- Technical background and willingness to work agnostically.
- Ability to see the bigger picture and align with company/business strategy.
- Systems thinking.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
